Temps leve saute [tahn luh-VAY soh-TAY]. Temps leve jumped. A classical ballet jump from both feet ending in the same position. Start first position, demi-plie, push off with the heels and jump into the air, pointing the toes and keeping straightening the knees. Dancer’s land in demi-plie in the first position. Performed in either the first, second, fourth and fifth positions of the feet. Can also performed on one foot with the other foot held in a position taken before the jump.
